Scottsdale, Arizona — Matt Baker, a UK-based Teaching Professional, will be hosting his first Live Stream on the innovative Golf Live® platform on Friday, June 14th, 2024. Matt’s presentation will introduce the first stage of the M-System, the world class swing process developed by Mike Malaska, 2011 PGA National Teacher of the Year.
Matt was introduced to golf at the age of 14 and immediately developed a passion for the game. While he focused on becoming a high-level player, and later a Golf Professional, Matt became fascinated with the mechanics of the golf swing and dedicated countless hours exploring the various concepts and philosophies of the top instructors. This extensive journey shaped his own instruction beliefs and style.
While he continued to research swing theories, Matt discovered Malaska Golf. Matt fell in love with Mike Malaska’s coaching style, became a member of Malaska Golf, and by following Malaska’s concepts, Matt rediscovered his own game. By following the M-System diligently, Matt found the game and the golf swing more straightforward and logical. Matt began to incorporate the M-System into his teaching and watched his students improve faster. With Matt’s on-going learning and successful application of the M-System, Malaska invited Matt to become a Malaska Golf Certified Coach, the only Malaska Golf Certified Coach in the UK and Europe.
The M-System is a 5-tier Developmental Plan designed to simplify the key components of the golf swing while enhancing one’s understanding of the game. The M-System is the culmination of Malaska’s own research and experience. After his professional playing career, Mike had the opportunity to teach alongside multiple Hall of Fame instructors with the Nicklaus-Flick Golf School, including Mr. Jim Flick, Jack Nicklaus’ coach. Mike was later named the world-wide Director of Instruction for Mr. Nicklaus’ golf academies, and with Jack’s blessings, he developed the academies’ teaching curriculum. The M-System incorporates Malaska’s years of extensive research into learning how the body works in relation to everyone’s unique physical make-up and incorporating their strengths and weaknesses.
On Friday, June 14th, 2024, at 4 PM UK / 11AM East / 8AM Pacific, utilizing the Golf Live® platform, Matt will conduct a Live Stream presentation of M1, the cornerstone of the 5-tier M-System.
