Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association donates $5,000 to Environmental Institute for Golf for second year
Gift maintains chapter’s position as a Platinum Tee Club Member.
Lawrence, Kan. (Dec. 17, 2019) – The Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association has donated $5,000 to support the Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). With the donation, the chapter remains in the EIFG’s Platinum Tee Club. The program recognizes organizations that give $5,000 or more annually to the EIFG.
The Minnesota GCSA is recognized in the Governor’s Club giving level of the EIFG’s Cumulative Giving Program. The Governor’s Club recognizes donors who have given between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987.
“The Minnesota GCSA has remained a strong supporter of the EIFG for decades,” said Rhett Evans, GCSAA and EIFG CEO. “We are grateful for their continued support and recent gift to the EIFG, which will help fund research, education, scholarships and advocacy.”
The Minnesota GCSA was founded in 1927. It is one of 99 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America.
“The environmental, social and economic contributions the EIFG makes to the golf industry are evidence of their strong presence and leadership in the industry,” said Matt Rostal, Minnesota GCSA president. “We are proud to be supporters, and believe their impact is worth our investment.”
