Miura Golf Congratulates Covello After Win

Veteran Professional Golfer, Vince Covello, Trusts Miura Irons to Earn His First Web.com Tour Event

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Miura Golf is pleased to congratulate Vince Covello on his first victory on the Web.com Tour at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open.

After 15 years and 80 starts as a professional golfer, thirty-six-year-old Covello recorded his victory this past Sunday. His strength throughout the tournament was his stellar iron play, as evidenced by the fact that he led the field in greens in regulation for the first three rounds. The 5 through 9 irons in Covello’s bag were the Miura Baby Blades, which have been his favorite of all the Miura models he has played over the past decade. Covello is hopeful that this win will help him achieve his goal of finishing first on the Web.com Tour money list, and also secure a slot on the PGA Tour in 2020.

“I always felt like I was good enough to win, but you don’t know until you actually do it, until you prove it,” Covello said, after a dramatic and emotionally draining playoff with Justin Lower that required 3 playoffs holes to seal the victory.

“I wasn’t sure this day would ever come,” he added. Miura is honored to have played a role in Covello’s victory.
