Three-year deal to extend through 2024
Braselton, GA – The American Junior Golf Association is excited to bring Mizuno Golf onboard in 2022 as an Official Partner of the AJGA.
Founded in Osaka, Japan in 1906, Mizuno has long held an enviable industry-wide reputation for crafting some of the finest golf equipment on the market and being at the forefront of technological innovation.
“We are delighted to become an Official Partner of the AJGA,” said Jeremy Galbreth, Senior Director of Golf for Mizuno USA. “Earlier this year we appointed Lauren Smith as our new Player Development Rep as part of a plan to focus on identifying younger talent. This long-term agreement with AJGA demonstrates our commitment to support the next generation of aspiring male and female junior golfers.”
Mizuno will title sponsor multiple events on the AJGA schedule annually. While Mizuno-sponsored PGA TOUR Professionals and AJGA alumni Keith Mitchell and Greyson Sigg will headline two events by hosting their own tournaments for the first time in 2022.
Keith Mitchell, who has one PGA TOUR win under his belt (2019 Honda Classic), was a 2008 Rolex Junior All-American before heading off to the University of Georgia. The Tennessee native had three top-10 finishes in his three-year AJGA career.
Greyson Sigg, who recently graduated to the PGA TOUR, won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour during the 2020-2021 super season. His wins at the Visit Knoxville Open and the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron earned him the No. 2 spot in the year-end Korn Ferry Tour points standings and his first PGA TOUR card. In his AJGA career, Sigg earned three top-10 finishes and played on the 2012 Wyndham Cup East team before heading to the University of Georgia.
“The AJGA is honored to welcome Mizuno Golf to our diverse set of ‘Official Partners’,” AJGA Chief Business Officer Jason Etzen said. “We are excited to have AJGA alumni in Keith Mitchell and Greyson Sigg back to host events in 2022.”
Starting in 2022 AJGA members will receive a discount to shop the Mizuno product line via their Player Center on ajga.org.
