MJT Team Canada set for Australia’s Jack Newton International Junior Classic
September 19, 2018 – (Vancouver, BC) – The Boston Pizza-presented Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is pleased to announce the finalists who qualified to representCanada in the upcoming Jack Newton International Junior Classic, a tournament billed as the ‘largest junior golf event in the Southern Hemisphere,’ with competitors from several countries taking part.
After qualifying via specific MJT tournaments held across the country, the playersselected to compete are Stephanie Chelack from Inglewood Golf and Curling Club in Calgary, AB, Bo Brown from Mississauga, ON, playing out of Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Kaiden Nicholson from Edmonton Golf and Country Club in Edmonton, AB, Graem Costigan from Galt Country Club in Cambridge, ON, andNeel Soni from St. Charles Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg, MB.
This will be the tenth appearance for MJT Team Canada in the event, which runs a Junior (15 to 17 years) as well as a Sub-Junior (14 and under) Championship simultaneously from October 1 through 5, in Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. The five-player team, accompanied by MJT National Operations Director, Trent Matson, will be participating in the Junior Championship and outfitted with uniforms and golf bags courtesy of MJT’s Official Travel Insurance Partner, TuGo.TuGo also supports the MJT via a partnership where the non-profit program receives 10% back from every travel insurance policy sold to MJT member families.
