JACKSON, MICHIGAN — MORE GOLF® Brand Ambassador and Professional Golfer Louis Kelly was one of 30 players to advance to 2023 Korn Ferry Tour First Stage Qualifying, the second leg of the four-stage qualifying tournament that is the premier way golfers earn status on the tour.
Kelly, who trusts a full set of MORE GOLF MOD®/1 IRONS and MOD®/1 WEDGES, as well as a MOD®/1 ENDURE PUTTER, fired 73-68-69 to finish T13 at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pre-Qualifying event. Players that advance to the Final Stage of the tournament are guaranteed a Korn Ferry Tour card for the 2023 season.
“I switched to MORE GOLF MOD®/1 IRONS and MOD®/1 WEDGES because I’m able to attack more pins,” Kelly said. “Because of the unique hosel design and the lightweight hosel, the club face just wants to stay square. My MOD®/1 ENDURE PUTTER has also been a game-changer because it grips the ball so much better than traditional putters so it can roll end-over-end. It’s the best roll of any putter on the market.”
In late July, Kelly captured the 102nd New Jersey Open title, becoming the first African American winner of the event. He currently works as an Assistant Professional at Burlington Country Club (New Jersey) as he pursues a full-time PGA Tour career.
