New M7 REMOTE ranked ‘Most Wanted’ model with M5 GPS ‘Best Smart Cart’
Compact-folding walking carts manufactured by leading British powered trolley brand Motocaddy were placed #1 and #3 in the ‘Best Electric Cart of 2020’ test results published last week by MyGolfSpy, the popular website with more than 52 million readers.
Rated the ‘Most Wanted Electric Cart’ of the year was the M7 REMOTE control model launched last month that helps to deliver ‘a stress-free round’. According to the MyGolfSpy test findings: ‘The M7 doesn’t overcomplicate things…it’s easy to use and the remote feature works from significant distances. Motocaddy has perfected a tight turn and an extra back wheel prevents it from tipping over, even on hills or other terrain.’ Among the other benefits quoted were the multiple speed variations, a USB port to charge phones and other electrical devices, plus a variety of accessories, such as a drinks and umbrella holder.
Credited as the ‘Best Smart Cart’ on the market, the M5 GPS model with a highly responsive touchscreen display came in overall #3 spot in the MyGolfSpy ratings. It concluded that ‘like it’s big brother (the M7 REMOTE), the M5 GPS has a slim and functional design that includes a GPS device that offers distances, hazard views, pin location and score tracking on the hi-res screen.‘ The cart also provides free access to 40,000 pre-loaded courses worldwide with pin-point accuracy, plus WiFi updates and optional smartphone notifications covering calls, texts, emails and app alerts.
In support of the award, Motocaddy has launched a new ‘Power at your Fingertips’ video, produced using cutting-edge Computer Generated Imagery (CGI), showcasing the revolutionary features in eye-catching HD graphics. The video can be viewed and downloaded at the dedicated Motocaddy Vimeo channel www.vimeo.com/channels/Motocaddy.
The independent MyGolfSpy examination considered cart features, maneuvrability, fold size and ease of use across 10 of the latest walking carts on the market during 20 hours of on-course research. The resulting guide also covered battery life, stability and weight.
Also included in the comprehensive test was the M1 DHC model with Downhill Control, featuring an electronic parking brake and all-terrain wheels – making it the ideal cart for those golfers who play hilly courses on a more regular basis.
“To have two of our latest models rated in the top three 2020 electric carts by MyGolfSpy is just incredible and points to the growing appreciation among American golfers of walking carts offering more advanced technology,’ said Motocaddy CEO John Helas. “MyGolfSpy is widely respected for its in-depth analysis to determine the best products for golfers, so we are very proud to be given such a glowing endorsement for the M7 REMOTE and M5 GPS in what was our first inclusion in the annual electric cart test.
“In recent months, we’ve increased stock availability and enhanced our website presence in the U.S, as well as boosting our sales and service operations. With the clear recommendation of MyGolfSpy behind us, we will be making our brand presence felt more strongly than ever before and hope to supply a growing number of American golfers with the best carts on the market to meet their needs and make the game more enjoyable,” he added.
Each of the sturdy Motocaddy M-Series models featured in the test comes with powerful, whisper-quiet 230W motors and nine speed settings, plus a speed indicator and battery meter. The M7 REMOTE is priced at an RRP of $1,499.00, the M5 GPS at $1,299.00 and the M1 DHC at $1,049.00, inclusive of a super-lightweight, waterproof Lithium battery.
