-Debut showcase results in strong pre-orders & interest from top resorts-
Motocaddy, the British world-leading electric walking cart company, enjoyed its first experience of exhibiting at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando last month – securing valuable pre-orders and attracting strong interest in the brand’s products from a number of Major championship and Ryder Cup venues.
The largest international golf business gathering since 2020 saw Motocaddy promote its latest range of hi-tech powered caddies and compact push carts, including the award-winning M7 REMOTE model that roamed the space immediately in front of the prominent booth.
“The number of PGA professionals and golf course managers to come onto the Motocaddy booth was just incredible and the number of pre-orders we took easily justified why we went ahead and exhibited for the first time,” said Motocaddy U.S. President, Roger Teat.
“We had an awesome few days with lots of potential new customer interest in powered caddies – both from a sales and rental fleet point of view – including some very high-profile venues across the States, where walking the course is becoming increasingly the norm.
“It was also great to take the opportunity to talk to some influential US media to help us push the health and performance benefits of using powered walking carts and I’m looking forward to seeing more of our ‘Enjoy the Walk’ campaigns we’ve set-up this year,” he added.
NBC commentator and former winning Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley visited the Motocaddy stand as the brand is headline sponsor for a new Golf’s Greatest Holes TV show co-hosted by Paul, which sees him play some of his hand-picked favourite golf holes on the island of Ireland. Excerpts from the show were screened on the Motocaddy booth ahead of it being premiered on NBC’s Golf Pass channel next month.
Its successful appearance at the PGA Show comes off the back of Motocaddy announcing a 160% growth in sales over the past year across the U.S. and up 240% since 2019 as interest continues to grow. Sold through hundreds of retailers and through its own eCommerce site, the future looks bright for the innovative brand according to CEO, John Helas.
“Globally we’re the number one electric caddy brand and being successful in America is very important to us to maintain that status. We’ve made a tremendous start since launching and are now fully set up with a great team led by Roger and a full warehouse ready to serve our customers across the whole of America.”
