Mount Graham Golf Club Welcomes New General Manager

Safford, Ariz. – Mount Graham Golf Club has appointed Aaron Medina as its new general manager. Medina, a Gila Valley native, previously served as the club’s assistant general manager. In his new role, Medina will oversee all aspects of the golf course, the Double ‘R’ Bar & Grill restaurant, and golf shop operations.

Medina brings over six years of management experience in golf course operations, hospitality, customer service, and team leadership. His tenure at Mount Graham Golf Club includes roles as pro shop manager and assistant general manager, demonstrating a commitment to operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences.

“I am honored to step into the role of general manager at Mount Graham Golf Club after having the privilege of serving as assistant general manager,” said Medina. “Mount Graham is a special place, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead its next chapter. I look forward to working alongside our staff and community as we take the course to the next level.”

Medina was born and raised in the Gila Valley, a scenic region in southeastern Arizona centered around the towns of Safford, Thatcher, and Pima, about 160 miles east of Phoenix. He attended Pima High School and currently serves as the school’s head golf coach. The Pima High “Roughriders” practice and play at Mount Graham Golf Club.

In recent years Mount Graham Golf Club has completed a series of significant upgrades aimed at enhancing the experience for golfers and visitors alike. The improvements include the introduction of a new electric golf cart fleet, enhancements to the Double ‘R’ Bar & Grill, and the establishment of a dedicated wedding venue adjacent to the 18th hole
