MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The editorial team at GolfPass, a subscription-based website created by the NBC Sports Group that highlights instruction, travel content, course reviews and more, recently ranked the “Top 100 Golf Destinations in the World,” and Myrtle Beach was included among the game’s upper echelon.

GolfPass ranked Myrtle Beach as the world’s 13th-best destination, writing of the Grand Strand, “There are scores of layouts littered from Brunswick County, N.C., down through Pawleys Island, S.C., with three distinct sub-regions that will provide Top-100-quality courses as well as value-packed hidden gems … A deep bench, vast lodging options and ever-improving food scene makes this an ideal choose-your-own-adventure destination for all budgets.”

“We are pleased to be included among the world’s best golf destinations by a team of media experts, but even more important are the ballots cast by traveling golfers,” said Bill Golden, CEO of Golf Tourism Solutions, the agency responsible for marketing Myrtle Beach as a golf destination. “More golfers visit Myrtle Beach annually than any other place in the world, and the area’s strength has been reinforced this spring as players have relished the opportunity to return to the game’s most popular and welcoming destination.”

Myrtle Beach is home to 90 courses and more golf trips than any destination on Earth. Players from across America and points beyond flock to the Grand Strand to enjoy a vacation that delivers a good time on and off the course.

Ultimately, the area’s appeal is rooted in the depth and quality of its golf course offerings.

Players in search of the game’s best layouts will relish the chance to play courses like the Dunes Golf & Beach Club, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, TPC Myrtle Beach, Tidewater Golf Club and the layouts at Barefoot Resort. Speaking to the depth of the area’s offerings, Golfweek recently ranked nine Myrtle Beach area courses among golf-rich South Carolina’s top 15 public designs.

For those in search of a value-centric trip, Myrtle Beach continues to deliver the legendary value it has long been known for, providing golfers an unforgettable vacation experience.
