Chris Word, Chairman of the Board of NBGM announced that Mr. Rodney Littles ,CEO of Rodney Littles and Associates has been elected to the board of directors. He will provide invaluable leadership in public policy,community and government relations for the association. He has managed crisis management, strategic planning, analysis of acquisitions, buyouts, acquiring debt and equity capital, management audits, real estate site analysis and development studies for clients. Clients serviced included those in industries such as real estate, construction, media, telecommunications, professional services, retail, business services, finance, new products and e-commerce.
He has traveled and worked on assignments for US AID as well as private companies in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, West Africa and Jamaica, W.I. He also has served in the Office of the Dean of the School of Business, Medgar Evers College, at the City University of New York and was responsible for Business and Community Partnerships. He has served as an Economic Development Associate of the Dubois Bunche Center for Public Policy supervising the NYC M/WBE Disparity Study performed by Mason Tillman Associates, Ltd.He has served as an Economic Development Senior Advisor for the New York City Council Committee on Economic Development. He was a founding member of the New York State Minority Business Advisory Board which developed legislation to create a State Wide Minority Business Development program. He was appointed by then New York State Governor Hugh L Carey. Graduated from the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University with a BS in Real Estate and Urban Development
Rodney, was recently honored with a proclamation by the city of South Fulton for his work in developing legislation to move the city from unincorporated area to a state chartered city.
Arnett Gill a director of NABGM was elected as President of the association and will provide leadership in membership and member related activities
Arnett Gill is the current owner of Design Apparel Screen Printing and Embroidery. Located in Nashville, TN, Design Apparel offers screen printing services, embroidery services, sublimation and apparel for both retail and wholesale customers.
As a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the apparel industry, Gill is known for driving brand growth, maximizing operational excellence and delivering financial performance within budgets. Gill most recently has been a writing contributor to DAV magazine and a regular contributor to Graphics Pro magazine. Prior to this Gill was an executive with Prudential and CIGNA Healthcare for over 20 years.
Arnett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff (HBCU), formally AM&N College and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
