Salish Cliffs Golf Club, Squaxin Island Tribe Join NAgolfcourses.com

Brand Initiative Promotes Native American Golf & Culture Travel™ Experiences

NAGolfCourses.com today announces that Salish Cliffs Golf Club – an amenity of Little Creek Casino Resort, tribally owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe – joined the Native American Golf & Culture Travel brand membership program and its proprietary website, www.nagolfcourses.com.

Native American courses are most often pristine, with no surrounding development. As the Creator intended. There are approximately 55 Native American courses located throughout the United States, with several clusters of proximate venues. They reflect tribal history and traditions. Cultural assets and experiences include tribal art, pow wows, history, food, tours, and more. The golf is superb, as are the affiliated hotels, resorts, casinos and cultural immersion. However, they’ve never been branded collectively.

The Squaxin Island Tribe celebrates its heritage and promotes the well-being of its people and enterprises whenever possible; in ways that respect tradition while enhancing its businesses. NAgolfcourses.com is ideally aligned to support this strategy, and the brand and website are synergistic assets that will benefit the tribe, casino resort, and golf club.

Located in Western Washington near South Puget Sound, Salish Cliffs is an 18-hole course designed by Gene Bates that has garnered national, state and niche acclaim (“Best Casino Course”, “Top 100 Resort Course”, and “Best in Washington”, to name a few).  With no surrounding development, the championship layout sprawls through a breathtaking Pacific Northwest setting amid the Kamilche Valley. A pair of towering, carved and painted totems frame the wood, glass and stone golf clubhouse, where the popular restaurant and well-appointed pro shop welcome visitors.

The resort hotel is adorned by an assortment of Native American influenced art that is as stunning as it is evocative. A totem, giant wooden wheel carving, and metal sculpture with salmon spawning are some items. Speaking of salmon, Salish Cliffs was the first course to earn Salmon-Safe Certification in North America, due to its eco-sensitive practices, in line with the tribe’s reverence for land, water, and wildlife. The Museum Library and Research Center hosts a wealth of information about tribal customs, history, architecture, artifacts, and legends.

Beyond golf, Little Creek Casino Resort features a full-service spa named Seven Inlets, alluding to South Puget Sound inlets used by the people from time immemorial. Other amenities include retail and coffee shops, cigar and wine bar, several restaurants, and live entertainment shows. A variety of hotel room types are available, and the casino provides non-smoking and smoking sections, table games, a poker room, and slot machines.

For more about stay, play, and culture packages at Salish Cliffs / Little Creek Casino Resort, or other Native American golf courses and properties, enter your request at www.nagolfcourses.com via the message feature.
