Naperville, Ill. – Naperville Country Club in Naperville, Illinois has been awarded the prestigious ‘Distinguished Club’ designation by BoardRoom magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. Each year, BoardRoom magazine, the official publication of the Association of Private Club Directors, recognizes a select number of exceptional private clubs that exceed expectations in the quality of service, facilities, governance, and most importantly the teamwork of the staff and management.
“We are proud to acknowledge the team at Naperville Country Club for delivering an exceptional member experience for their members,” said John Fornaro, Publisher and Co-founder of BoardRoom magazine.
Distinguished Clubs is the only merit-based award program for private clubs, where awarding is determined by an impartial formulaic assessment, rather than a mere peer-based vote of industry insiders. All clubs that have been formally nominated by the Distinguished Clubs Nomination Committee and have been surveyed in person by a Distinguished Clubs survey professional and have earned a satisfactory Net Promoter Score and Member Experience Index, will thereby have earned Distinguished Clubs status. In addition to Distinguished Club status, a club may also be recognized with one of three possible Distinguished Clubs Special Designations, Iconic, Elite or Exceptional.
“It is an incredible honor for Naperville Country Club to be recognized by BoardRoom Magazine,” said Naperville Country Club General Manager Brad McMillan. “This award is a testament to the dedication of our team, the unwavering support of our members, and our commitment to creating exceptional experiences. We strive to uphold the highest standards in everything we do, and this recognition reinforces our passion for excellence.”
Naperville Country Club is a private, member-owned club, managed by Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon. About Naperville Country Club
In 1921, Naperville Country Club featured a 9-hole golf course with sand greens. Shortly after opening, golf course architect Tom Bendelow was engaged to design and build an 18-hole golf course on the 124-acre property. Bendelow’s original layout remained mostly intact until 2006 when architect Steve Forrest of Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Associates was commissioned to complete a major course renovation. Emphasis was placed on adding length to the golf course, improving shot values and developing new green complexes. The new Steve Forrest-designed course debuted in July 2007 and winds its way through rolling terrain, mature trees and ponds. The course has earned several national honors, including being named Golf Inc. magazine’s 2009 “Renovation of the Year” for private clubs.
