May 2023- National Golf Buyers Association, aka the NGBA or Golf Headquarters and the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) are excited to publicly announce a strategic relationship that will bring each of the 66 stores in the NGBA into the AGM as Merchandising Members.
Golf Headquarters NGBA’s membership, primarily off-course facilities, is comprised of many of the most highly regarded independently owned and operated facilities in the business. With 66 locally owned and operated associate golf retail stores, it’s the largest dollar volume golf buying group in the nation. For over 30 years, NGBA, Inc. has been committed to ensuring that their members offer their customers quality products at the most competitive prices.
Through this agreement, the Association of Golf Merchandisers will provide and make available educational content, networking opportunities and retail resources through their platform to all members of the NGBA to help strengthen and better their retail operations.
“I’m very excited about this alliance that we’ve created with the Association of Golf Merchandisers,” says NGBA Executive Director Lee Clapp. “AGM’s retail education in the golf space is the best in class and we’re excited to bring that to our group of store owners and retail operators.”
AGM CEO, Jennifer Morton, added, “The National Golf Buyers Association collective of independently owned retail stores are some of the best operators in the off-course space. We’re thrilled to have their owners and managers as part of our association. We’ll both be stronger long-term as a result.”
About the AGM
The Association of Golf Merchandisers is an international, professional association consisting of more than 800 buyer members and over 190 Vendor Partners all dedicated to strengthening the golf merchandising industry. AGM buyer members are responsible for the retail operations at over 1,500 golf shops with annual sales in excess of $1.4 billion. These members, both the Merchandisers and the Vendor Partners, are among the best and most recognized in the golf industry.
The AGM’s mission is simple: ELEVATE RETAIL. ENHANCE RELATIONSHIPS. EDUCATE ALWAYS.
In short, we help make golf buyers better buyers by focusing our educational content on key metrics, visual merchandising, promotions, and buying strategies. We work to break down the barriers between vendor partners and golf retail buyers so that “both sides of the table” are more profitable.
