SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Nev., – This week, the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament is set to return to Lake Tahoe for its 35th edition with one of the strongest fields across sports and entertainment in tournament history. Headliners include Travis Kelce, Tony Romo, Charles Barkley, Aaron Rodgers, Annika Sorenstam, Seth and Dell Curry, Miles Teller, Colin Jost, Ray Romano and Larry the Cable Guy. The tournament also will feature 15 first-time participants, including Alex Rodriguez, Jason Kelce, Austin Reaves and Carson Daly.
NBC Sports will present comprehensive coverage Friday-Sunday, July 12-14 across NBC, Peacock and GOLF Channel, with the networks of NBCUniversal surrounding tournament coverage all week in delivering robust linear and digital coverage.

ELITE FIELD OF 91 ACROSS SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT: A field of 91 participants across the worlds of sports and entertainment will compete in the 54-hole tournament, taking place at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course on the shores of Lake Tahoe. All told, the field collectively represents 15 Hall of Famers, 15 active athletes (NBA, NFL, NHL and WWE), multiple Cy Young, Players of the Year, Grammy and Emmy Award winners.
Defending champion Stephen Curry will not be able to compete this week due to preparations with Team USA Basketball and the 2024 Paris Olympics later this month. Stephen’s father, Dell, and his brother, Seth, will be in the tournament field this week, and Stephen plans to return to the American Century Championship in 2025.

SORENSTAM HEADLINES WOMEN IN FIELD: World Golf and LPGA Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam will compete in the American Century Championship for a fifth time (2014, 2021, 2022, 2023), She will be joined by TODAY Show anchor/meteorologist Dylan Dreyer, golf personality Hally Leadbetter and NBC Sports reporter Kathryn Tappen.
NBC SPORTS BROADCAST TEAM: Host Steve Sands and analyst Peter Jacobsen will anchor NBC Sports’ live tournament coverage from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. They will be joined by Jimmy Roberts as a hole announcer, along with Roger Maltbie and Smylie Kaufman reporting from the course. Kira K. Dixon will conduct interviews with players in the field throughout the championship.
DRONE CAM AND ‘HAPPY HOUR’ HIGHLIGHTS NBC SPORTS PRODUCTION ENHANCEMENTS: NBC Sports will enhance the broadcast coverage of the American Century Championship this week with eight cameras capturing the action on the popular par-3 17th that is situated alongside Lake Tahoe. Featured enhancements include drone coverage during all three days of tournament action over the lake presented by Sentinent Jet; a camera positioned on a boat that will cruise around the lake providing the unique perspective from the boaters on the lake; and Toptracer tracing the tee shots on 17 that will allow for unique camera angels and perspectives during tournament coverage. Kaufman and Dixon also will reprise NBC Sports’ popular PGA TOUR Happy Hour interview segments during all three days of coverage at hole 17 during the live telecasts.
TODAY SHOW, CNBC, ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, NBC SPORTS REGIONAL NETWORKS AND NBC LOCAL AFFILIATES SURROUND COVERAGE: Wednesday-Friday leading up to the opening round of coverage, the TODAY Show, CNBC, Access Hollywood, NBC Sports Regional Networks and local NBC affiliates across the country will prepare viewers for live coverage with interviews from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course with players in the field.
GOLF CHANNEL NEWS COVERAGE: GOLF Channel’s news shows Golf Central and Golf Today will surround NBC Sports’ live tournament coverage with news coverage and highlights throughout the week.

NEARLY $8 MILLION DONATED TO CHARITY: Since the tournament’s inception in 1990, the American Century Championship has donated nearly $8 million to charity and non-profits. The event features an elevated $750,000 purse, with many of the players donating their winnings to charities and non-profits.
HONORING TIM AND STACY WAKEFIELD: This week at the American Century Championship, NBC will launch a long-term initiative for contributions in the names of Tim and Stacy Wakefield to recognize the Wakefield’s legacy of philanthropy as well as their association with the tournament. In addition, all 2024 American Century Championship tournament hats will have Tim’s #49 logo embroidered; the No. 49 will be stenciled on the fairway 49 yards off the 18th tee box and the 18 green flag will feature No. 49.
