Indian Wells, Calif. – Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, Calif. recently opened “The Academy at Indian Wells” – a golf instruction program geared towards helping golfers improve by minimizing mistakes, while developing consistency and enhancing enjoyment. The Academy is led by Director of Instruction Eric Solander, PGA, and Lead Teaching Professional Jordan Hamblin, PGA, and is located at the Indian Wells Golf Resort practice facility.
By emphasizing sound fundamentals, Solander and Hamblin create individual pathways for golfers to achieve their goals. Golfers can choose between private one-on-one lessons, couples lessons, specialty clinics or two-day and three-day golf schools. Clinics take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and are hosted in a small group environment. The clinics last about an hour, and feature instruction that varies between personal and group drills, depending on skill level and areas identified for improvement.
“Utilizing the latest technology available coupled with our fun, play-based approach, we are helping students bring their range game to the course,” Solander. “Our new Trackman Studio allows us to analyze and track club head speed as well as essential ball data points such as carry, total, ball speed, height, launch angle and launch direction.”
