Announcement to Take Place at PGA Merchandise Show
CARLSBAD, Calif. – Golf is a game of subtle refinements, seemingly minor yet significant enhancements, and slight but impactful changes.
Enter Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO MODUS³ TOUR 110 lightweight steel shafts, the newest member of Nippon’s MODUS³ series, which marked its 15th anniversary last year as it celebrated more than 390 victories on professional tours around the world.
“We are thrilled with the new N.S. PRO MODUS³ TOUR 110 lightweight steel shafts,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “The Tour 110 is designed to attract a new generation of players while catering to current Nippon Shaft users who seek to fine tune their spin rates and launch angles in order to influence flex and ball flight.”
The Tour 110 will be officially introduced on Jan. 22 at the PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. It will go into widespread distribution in April.
The Tour 110 is engineered with a stiffness distribution that increases progressively from the tip to the midsection of the shaft, helping to optimize trajectory and cause the shaft to feel like the driver shafts preferred by many professionals, said Fukuda. The new shaft is the third model in the N.S. PRO MODUS³ “0” series and features a groundbreaking and entirely unique bend profile.
The Tour 110 is targeted at golfers who have excessively high trajectories or ballooning shots; golfers struggling with excessive spin and curvature in their irons; golfers seeking a lightweight option with a stronger trajectory than the N.S. PRO MODUS³ TOUR 105, and golfers who have difficulty timing their swing with a Tour “5” series model, the company stated.
Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands. In addition, Nippon Shaft products are available through Nippon Shaft’s dedicated global club fitter network. Details of these can be found at www.nipponshaft.com
