Northern California PGA Foundation Announces Tim Burr as President, Along with 3 New Board Members
The Northern California PGA Foundation (NCPGA) today announced that Tim Burr, Director of Golf at Blackhawk Country Club in Danville, CA, has been named President of the Foundation, while three new members have joined the Board of Directors for 2019, including Mark Bryden, Bob Epperly and Lydia Morasky.
Burr, who was elected to PGA Membership in 2002 and has served on the NCPGA Foundation board since 2016, will serve a two-year term, from 2019-2020, succeeding Dede Moriarty who will serve as Honorary President of the NCPGA Foundation and is the newly elected President of the NCPGA Section. Burr, who has enjoyed a distinguished career in the golf industry, and as a leader within the NCPGA, was the recipient of the Section’s 2014 Patriot Award, presented to a PGA Professional who personifies patriotism through the game of golf and demonstrates unwavering commitment and dedication to the men and women who have valiantly served and protected the United States of America.

In addition to Burr, three new members of the NCPGA Foundation bring a breadth of golf and business expertise to the board of directors. Mark Bryden, who has spent more than 25 years serving in leadership roles in sales, marketing supply chain management for companies like Levi Strauss & Co., SmartWool and Timberland North America, is the current President of Lucy Activewear in Alameda, CA, where he leads the entire Lucy brand, from developing strategy to delivering company results. Bob Epperly, who is a Veteran, a longstanding PGA Member and current golf instructor at Antelope Greens Golf Club in Antelope, CA, has worked with the NCPGA Foundation as a PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriot’s Everywhere) Leader since beginning PGA HOPE clinics in October 2015, and is now a PGA HOPE National Instructor for PGA REACH. Lydia Morasky, who is the Financial Advisory/Chief Communications Officer at The Morasky Clay Group/Merrill Lynch in Walnut Creek, CA, and has been working with the Merrill Lynch team on Invest in HOPE for the last two years. She is an accomplished financial services professional with expertise in business development, relationship management, marketing, communications, analytics and compliance.

- Frank LaRosa: Frank LaRosa & Associates, media and marketing consultant. Producer/Host of ESPN Radio’s “Golf to Go” reports. Honorary Member of PGA.
- Mike Mazzaferri: PGA, General Manager, Sierra Sage Golf Club (Reno, NV);
- Dede Moriarty, PGA: Instructor at Presidio GC (San Francisco, CA) and President of the NCPGA;
- Michael Steinbaugh: PSC Past State Commander for the Disabled American Veterans, and DAV National Executive Committee Member;
- Bill Troyanoski, PGA: General Manager, Half Moon Bay Golf Links (Half Moon Bay, CA) and PGA District 11 Director.
