TULSA, OK – Bringing optimized speed training to all golfers since 2014, SuperSpeed Golf has continued to innovate and advance the golf swing speed training market with its newest product the SuperSpeed Squeeze Grip Strength Training Aid. After Debuting in late 2023 it has received rave reviews including winning 2023 Best Training Aid from The Hackers Paradise.
Here is what the Hackers Paradise Forum Testers had to say after working through the 6 week SuperSpeed Squeeze training protocol.
“Testing went well and I picked up some noticeable swing speed. The training was pretty easy to get started and was not at all cumbersome”, said Echico
“Fast, easy to use, and very effective. In a relatively short time when it comes to strength training, I was able to see a significant increase in grip strength. This translated to better club face control and ball contact out on course”, said Jtubb17
“I went to a lesson today and it reaffirmed what I have thought I have been seeing on the course. I stopped the training about a month ago, but my grip still feels strong. My left hand issues are much better than before training and my iron consistency has improved. I didn’t see a speed gain, but feel like a more consistent strike has been a result from this training,” said OUMagic
“Within a short time of regular training with the Squeeze, I saw measurable gains in my grip strength. That has translated to better performance playing golf,” said mtbloco
“Using the SuperSpeed Squeeze increased my grip strength 55%. On the course I have more distance & accuracy with all clubs. And distance control putting has improved as well. Great training aid!”, said cnl390
Why is grip strength so important for golfers?
Grip Strength tends to not be discussed by coaches nearly as often as Grip Pressure. Most coaches will recommend “light” grip pressure to optimize the ability of the wrists and arms to create range of motion during the swing. Research has shown that this tends to be true of PGA Tour Players (60 Kg Capacity) and World Long Drive Players (82 Kg Capacity) who use about 58% and 52% of their grip strength capacity during the golf swing. However, more recent research has also shown that amateur players cannot create anywhere near the same grip strength capacity as professionals. Males average about 42 Kg and Females about 27 Kg. This lack of capacity requires these players to use a much higher percentage of their grip strength during the swing to control the golf club. The answer to this epidemic facing amateur players is to increase their grip strength to allow them to use a lower percentage of their max during the swing.
The SuperSpeed Squeeze is a simple device that fits over the golf grip of the player’s own golf club. It is recommended for use on a mid-iron for best results. This training is very similar to “fat grip” training that is typically done in the gym for the same purpose of increasing grip strength. The player goes through the included training protocol which involves 5 second isometric holds with each hand, quick burst squeezes, and full golf swings.
