(RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA) – Nexbelt®, The Belt With No Holes, would like to congratulate Tour Ambassador, Daniel Sutton, on his Top 5 Finish on the Korn Ferry Tour this past weekend at the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper. The tournament was held at the Highlands Springs Country Club in Springfield, Missouri.
Sutton, an up and coming mini tour player, qualified on Monday for the event and fired rounds of 66, 67, 68 and 69 to finish at 18 under par for the tournament and capture a 4th Place Finish. Playing in the final group and starting the day three strokes behind Round 3 leader Brandon Wu, Sutton did everything he could to catch Wu, firing a 3-under par 69 while Wu shot 2-over on Sunday. But Sutton could do nothing about the round champion Max McGreevy turned in. McGreevy shot his second 64 of the week and took home the title at 21-under for the tournament.
Sutton, who played his final two seasons of college golf at KU after starting at Idaho, took home a paycheck $29,250 from his first Korn Ferry event of the season.
With this Top 5 Finish, the Birmingham, England, native automatically qualifies for this week’s tournament and a chance at conditional status on the Tour with another high finish.
