- NEXT Golf Tour is the world’s largest professional golf tournament by player count, held on Trackman simulators.
- Over 900 players compete for a $190,000 purse, with one DP World Tour invite and six Challenge Tour invites for the best placed male players on the order of merit
- Open to all, this tour features rising stars from minitours to seasoned pros from the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tours and many more.
In an era where professional golf often focuses on elite players and massive TV-ready events, the NEXT Golf Tour powered by Trackman offers a different vision: a stage for grinders, dreamers, and emerging stars to compete on virtual courses accessible at any Trackman-powered golf center.
Building on the success of its sophomore season, the NEXT Golf Tour tees off Season 3 on December 11 with the first round played on the virtual fairways of Liberty National.
A stage for all incredible golfers, not just the select few.
“Professional golf is increasingly skewed towards creating wealth for a select few,” said Klaus Eldrup-Jørgensen, Trackman co-founder and CEO. “NEXT Golf Tour is for the many, not the few. It’s a platform for up-and-coming players to earn meaningful money and chase their dreams. We’re proud to see players using NEXT as a springboard to bigger opportunities.”
Virtual Golf. Real Money.
The purse for the first three rounds starts at $100,000 and can grow to $200,000 with a full field. Winners take home $30,000, while side game payouts total $20,000. Highlights include $3,000 for aggregate closest-to-pin and $5,000 for social media standouts.
Top 100 players (+10 best female players) will qualify for the final event played on Feb 7 and 8, where they compete for $150.000.
In Season 2, NEXT awarded over $1.2 million in total payouts. Eleven players earned $20,000 or more, with season 3 champion Jordan Weber topping the list at $90,319.
Virtual Golf. Real Opportunities
Due to an enhanced partnership with the European Tour Group, Season 3 offers career-changing incentives:
- DP World Tour Invite:The top-ranked male player on the Order of Merit earns entry into a 2025 DP World Tour event.
- Challenge Tour Invites:The champion receives three Challenge Tour invites, with three additional invites awarded to the runner-up.
- Broadcast Support:DP World Tour broadcasts will feature dedicated NEXT Golf Tour segments, boosting player visibility.
Jordan Weber, whose triumph in season 2 not only earned him career changing earnings but also propelled him to compete on some of golf’s biggest stages, including the DP World Tour’s European Open and three Challenge Tour events.
Reflecting on his journey, Weber shared: “The NEXT Golf Tour gave me that opportunity to compete again at a high level. It is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. It changed my life, and I am really proud of it.”
Introducing the ANNIKA Bonus
NEXT Golf Tour breaks barriers by allowing men and women to compete straight-up from adjusted tees. However, women made up just 7% of last season’s field.
To encourage greater participation, the ANNIKA Bonus — introduced in partnership with World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sörenstam — adds $15,000 in rewards for top female performers in Rounds 1-3. The top five women will earn additional payouts of $5K/$4K/$3K/$2K/$1K in each of the rounds.
“NEXT Golf Tour is played on virtual fairways, but delivers real drama, skill, and career or even life-changing opportunities,” said Sörenstam. “I’m thrilled to support this initiative and hope the ANNIKA Bonus inspires more women to compete.”
NEXT Golf Tour is in dialogues about offering tour opportunities for the female players.

Nick Carlson used his Season 2 win to transition from juggling mini-tour golf and multiple jobs in the U.S. to competing in DP World Tour Q-School, aiming for full Challenge Tour status in 2025.
How It Works
- Season 3 features three full-field rounds (up to 1,000 players) and a Season Finale for the top 100 qualifiers.
- Each round is 18 holes of stroke play on a Trackman virtual course, playable at Trackman simulator worldwide.
- Players pay a $130 entry fee per round, with $100 contributing directly to the purse.
- The top 30% of competitors earn payouts, and popular side games add extra excitement and earning potential.
