PLANO, TEXAS – The National Golf Buyers Association/Golf Headquarters (NGBA) celebrated the noteworthy achievements and commendable community service of its members during its Annual Corporation Meeting & Show held in Plano, Texas on Tuesday, October 10th. The prestigious event recognized individuals and entities that have made a significant impact in the golf community through their selfless services, leadership, and continuous support.
Charpentier Founders Award Recipient: Scott Hoffman
The honorable Charpentier Founders Award was conferred upon Scott Hoffman of Northway Golf Center in New York. Recognized for a lifetime of contributions to the organization, Scott has tirelessly served on numerous committees and held positions on the board for over a dozen years. His unwavering dedication has significantly helped in steering our organization towards success, and his contributions have been pivotal in bolstering the NGBA’s growth and development.
Patricia Baker Award Recipient: Dave & Ryan Austad
The Patricia Baker Award, erstwhile known as the President’s Award, was graciously awarded to Dave and Ryan Austad of Austad’s Golf. This recognition is bestowed for their exemplary work with community services and charitable foundations. The Austad Family Foundation, through its collaboration with Golf Fore Africa, initiated by Hall of Fame Golfer Betsy King in 2007, managed to inaugurate a mechanized water system in Zambia, edging a step closer to alleviating the global water crisis by 2030. Their commitment to their local First Tee associations and work with various charities reflects a spirit that would make Patricia Baker immensely proud.
Polivka Founders Award Winners
In the spirit of recognizing undeterred support to the NGBA Special Programs, the Polivka Founders Award was presented to three esteemed members this year:
- Bill Ott
- Chris Cote
- Paul Danielson
This accolade, honoring their significant support of all the private label platforms and special initiatives across the NGBA/GHQ platform. The winners spotlight support across various brands and ventures.
