40-year PGA Tour veteran and NBC Sports analyst Peter Jacobsen hosts live golf trivia event to kick off NGCOA’s Golf Business Conference 2023
Charleston, S.C. — Golf Business Conference 2023 (GBC23), the largest annual gathering of golf course owners and operators, will feature the all new and exciting MatchPlay LIVE, hosted by one of golf’s greatest personalities, Peter Jacobsen, and sponsored by Yamaha Golf Cars. MatchPlay is a unique, interactive game show experience where GBC23 attendees can showcase their golf knowledge, and passion for the sport and our industry!
Widely considered the unofficial “ambassador of golf,” Peter Jacobsen is known for his off-course antics as much as his on-course accomplishments. Frontman of golf’s legendary rock band Jake Trout and the Flounders, co-host of two GOLF CHANNEL variety shows, author of two autobiographical comedy books, and creator of NBC Golf’s popular “Jake’s Takes” segment, there is no one better equipped to bring MatchPlay to the masses.
NGCOA invites golf course owners, operators, general managers, directors of golf and many others who are responsible for the success of golf course businesses to register for GBC23, which also serves as the association’s annual meeting. It will again be held in Orlando, Florida from January 23-25 (alongside the 2023 PGA Show, running January 24-27).
In addition to MatchPlay LIVE, the GBC23 conference pass includes 12+ business-critical education sessions, various networking receptions and meals (including a special meet & greet for new NGCOA members and GBC first-timers), a Sponsor Fair & Happy Hour, annual award winner recognition, and much more. Two pre-conference sessions, the annual Yamaha Golf Outing, and guest passes for social and networking events are optional additions. The Rosen Centre Hotel will again serve as the official GBC host hotel, where most education and networking will take place.
All GBC23 education sessions will be eligible for continuing education credits from the PGA of America, as well as the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
Speakers, sessions, and social and networking events are being finalized now; all these, plus information on registration, hotel options and sponsors can be found at GolfBusinessConference.com.
