PING President John K. Solheim Takes Over as Chairman of NGF Board
Jupiter, FL – The National Golf Foundation welcomed GOLFTEC President and CEO Joe Assell and AHEAD USA CEO Anne Broholm to a diverse Board of Directors that spans the broad spectrum of the golf business.
Assell has built GOLFTEC into one of the industry’s most successful stories over the past 25 years, establishing a global brand that’s shaped modern golf instruction at more than 220 training centers worldwide. Under Assell’s leadership, GOLFTEC has become the world’s second-largest employer of PGA professionals.
Broholm since 2012 has been CEO of AHEAD, which provides headwear, apparel and accessories to green grass golf shops, resorts, and professional golf tournaments nationwide as well as the corporate market. One of the top female executives in the golf industry, Broholm spent seven years as Vice President of the Golf Division of Cutter & Buck prior to her current role at AHEAD, which is a leading supplier of headwear to the USGA, PGA of America, Ryder Cup, and numerous PGA Tour events.
The appointments of Assell and Broholm, effective Jan. 1, add broader perspective to NGF’s efforts to foster the growth and vitality of the game and the business of golf.
