Nicklaus Academy Orlando Applies the Latest Technology to Speed Up The Learning Process
The Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf, located at the Orlando World Center Marriott, combines the latest in portable golf technologies with its proven instruction philosophy to help shorten the learning curve for their students. From full-swing to short game and putting, the application of the right tool helps students visualize what happens during their swing – and with the right instruction, apply this information for improved results.
The Academy tests and evaluates new products as they come to the market to ensure they match with the Nicklaus Academy curriculum and will generate the positive results for the students. Technologies that are available at the Jack Nicklaus Coaching Studio include;
- Flightscope – understand how the path of your swing and the angle of your club head affect the flight of your golf ball
- BodiTrak – know where the pressure is in your feet before, during and after your swing and how pressure and body movement relates to your golf swing
- Blast Motion – a great tool to improve your consistency on the greens resulting in fewer putts
- K-Motion – a 3-Dimensional tool that will help you understand all of the moving parts in a golf swing
- TeeItUp – an outdoor golf simulator that makes learning and practicing fun and effective
“Technology for ‘technology sake’ is of no use if the information is not personalized for each student”, stated Brian O’Neill, Director of Instruction. “Every student has different ways they process information. By having a full complement of the latest tools we can match the technology to the student which will shorten the learning process. Effective learning needs to be entertaining – and these tools help to keep the process engaging, and importantly, fun.”
An important aspect of the Nicklaus Academy learning process allows students to use these technologies for individual training. The goal is to have every Nicklaus Academy students be able to ‘self-coach’ themselves. Whether they are at the Academy for a VIP Golf School, Corporate Clinic, or private instruction, we have tools for each student to use when they travel back home and continue their training remotely.
