ONTARIO, CA – The Southern California PGA Section is pleased to announce that Mrs. Nikki Gatch, PGA, has officially assumed the role of SCPGA Section Executive Director / CEO.
Gatch was elected to PGA Membership in 2013 and has been involved in the golf industry her entire career beginning with her father’s role in the development of Wood Ranch Golf Club and many of the Landmark Golf properties. Following her time at Oklahoma State University, Nikki’s career in golf has included roles as an Assistant Golf Professional at Mission Hills Country Club and the Kiawah Island Club; Co-Owner of Emerald Isle Golf Course in Oceanside; several positions with the SCPGA Section including Junior Golf Director, Foundation Director, and Assistant Executive Director. Gatch also worked for the PGA of America as the Regional League Manager for seven years before her most recent return back to the Section in 2019 as the Assistant Executive Director/COO.
“We are super excited for Nikki Gatch to take over for our Emeritus Executive Director, Tom Addis. Nikki is a legend in Southern California golf in her own right, and recently was the President of the SCGA. Nikki and I played desert junior golf together, and since then she’s been a rockstar in the golf community. We are blessed to have somebody like Nikki continue the efforts of the amazing Southern California PGA. I look forward to working with her for years to come. We are in great hands!” said Eric Lohman, PGA, Southern California PGA President.
“It has been a pleasure and an honor to work side-by-side with Nikki for seventeen years including her capacity with the Section and the PGA of America. Nikki has the PGA member, the sport and game of golf, the golf community, our constituents, our talented staff team at the SCPGA and her family foremost in her priorities.The Southern California PGA, already a leader in golf and the PGA, will continue that legacy and only add to it as Nikki leads the Section.” Tom Addis III, PGA, retiring from full-time as the Executive Director.
Mrs. Gatch will be immediately responsible for oversight of the Section Staff, implementation of the Section’s Strategic Plan; liaison for the Section Board of Directors; and representing the Section with regards to government agencies and various communities to advocate on behalf of the PGA Professional, their facilities and the game of golf.
“After more than 20 years of service to the Southern California PGA and the PGA of America, I am extremely excited for the opportunity to serve my Section as its fifth Executive Director. This has been a career goal of mine for 15 years. As we approach the celebration of our Centennial, I am motivated, dedicated and excited for the opportunity to continue to lead our great Section into the future alongside our talented and dedicated staff and Board of Directors. I know I have very big shoes to fill following Mr. Addis, but the guidance, support and example he set for all of us will no doubt play a major role in the future success of the Section,” said Nikki Gatch, PGA, SCPGA Executive Director / CEO.
With the guidance of Mrs. Gatch, the Southern California PGA will continue to drive the section mission of promoting the enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and contributing to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry.
