CARLSBAD, Calif. – Nippon Shaft is anticipating a successful 2022 for its N.S.PRO MODUS³ series of steel shafts after posting more than 30 victories and two major championships on global professional golf tours in 2021.

Nippon Shaft will be exhibiting in Booth #2415 at the PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 25-28, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Among the tournaments Nippon Shaft players won last season were:
- The ANA Inspiration, a women’s major championship, where the winner used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 Stiff shafts in her irons (4-PW) and the N.S.PRO MODUS³ 115 Wedge shaft in her wedges in Rancho Mirage, California.
- The U.S. Women’s Open at Olympic Club, where N.S.PRO MODUS³ Prototype was in the irons and wedges of the winner and N.S.PRO 950GH neo in the runner-up’s irons and wedges, which ended in sudden death on June 6.
- A 29-year-old Englishman used Nippon ShaftS.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 X-flex shafts in his irons on Jan. 24 to secure victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Open.
- A 43-year-old Englishman who has used Nippon Shaft products for many years shot 17-under par 271 with rounds of 67-70-64-70 to win by four at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- The winner of the AdventHealth Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges on May 23 at Blue Hills Country Club in Kansas City, Mo.
- The winner of the Evans Scholars Invitational outside Chicago used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges to prevail May 30 in his second straight Korn Ferry Tour victory.
- A European Tour veteran from Northern Ireland won the inaugural Scandinavian Mixed Hosted by Henrik & Annika in Gothenburg, Sweden, using S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 steel shafts in his irons.
- A 26-year-old rookie from Finland won her first tournament at the LPGA Mediheal Championship using S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 steel shafts in her irons.
- A 37-year-old PGA Tour veteran from Aiken, SC used Nippon Shaft S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX flex steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges to win a six-man playoff in the PGA Tour’s season finale at the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- The 31-year-old winner of the Northern Trust champion used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 TX flex steel shafts in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges to shoot 20-under par in regulation and win on the first hole of a sudden death playoff at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey. The Salt Lake City native shot 67-64-68-65—264, including a back-nine 30 that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard.
- A 34-year-old Swedish star used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 S flex steel shafts in her wedges to shoot a 12-under par 72-hole total to win the Women’s Scottish Open, her third major women’s championship by one stroke.
- The winner of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 105 X flex steel shafts in his irons Sept. 6 to secure the victory and with it his fully exempt status on the 2021-22 PGA Tour season. The 33-year-old Stanford alumnus shot 20-under par with rounds of 70-68-65-65—268 at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana.
- The 30-year-old winner of the RSM Classic used S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 X flex steel shafts in his irons to help fashion a tournament record tying total of 22-under par with rounds of 64-65-67-64—260 at the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort. It was his first PGA Tour victory.
