CARLSBAD, Calif.  – A 29-year-old Australian on Sunday (Sept. 6) won the Korn Ferry Tour’s Lincoln Land Championship using Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS³ 125 s flex steel shafts in his irons.

It was the 17th victory for MODUS series this season; moreover, every MODUS model now has been in a champion’s bag this season, according to Nippon Shaft officials.

“Nippon Shaft congratulates the winner of the Lincoln Land Championship and is excited that the champion trusted our products to help him play his best,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft.

The winner shot a 19-under total with rounds of 67-62-68-68—265 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois to capture his first Korn Ferry Tour victory. He earned $108,000 and moved to No. 18 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List.

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the release of N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120, the first in the MODUS³ series.  With four models, MODUS³ shafts have been in the bags of more than 200 players on every major global tour and have been used in more than 200 tour victories worldwide.

Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands.  Details of these can be found at www.nipponshaft.com

Based in Yokohama, Japan, Nippon Shaft is the No. 1-selling steel shaft in Asia.  Nippon Shaft is a privately-held subsidiary of NHK Spring Co. LTD, a Japanese automobile parts manufacturer.  Nippon Shaft’s North American headquarters is in Carlsbad, California.
