NIPPON SHAFT WINS ON MEN’S AND WOMEN’S JAPANESE TOURS
Nippon Shaft recently posted victories on the top men’s and women’s Japanese golf tours.
The 36-year-old Tokyo native used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 130 X steel shafts in his irons to win the Dunlop Phoenix tournament, shooting a 15-under par total of 269 with rounds of 70-68-68-63 in Miyazaki, Japan. The victory was his second of the year and moved him to No. 4 on the Japan Golf Tour money list.
Meanwhile, the youngest winner in the history of the LPGA of Japan Tour used N.S.PRO MODUS³ PROTOTYPE STL in her irons to win the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open by four strokes. She finished at 20-under par 268 with rounds of 71-68-64-65 at Kosugi Country Club. The native of Kagoshima, Japan won her first LPGA of Japan Tour event as a 15-year-old.
