CARLSBAD, Calif. – Players using Nippon Shaft products won on the DP World (European) Tour and the LPGA Tour last weekend (March 29).
In New Delhi, the 27-year-old Englishman won the Hero Indian Open using N.S.PRO MODUS³ TOUR 120 steel shafts in his irons and wedges. He shot a total of 9-under par 279 with rounds of 70-68-72-69 and overcame a 6-shot deficit in the final round by making seven birdies in his last 10 holes to win by two at DLF Golf & CC in India. The winner’s purse for his first European title was €375,811 ($430,749).
Meanwhile, outside Phoenix, the 30-year-old Korean successfully defended her Ford Championship title and won for the second consecutive week on the LPGA Tour (she won the Founders Championship the prior week). She used Nippon Shaft’s N.S. PRO 750GH neo steel shafts in her irons and wedges to shoot a 28-under par total with rounds of 61-69-61-69—260 at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona. Her two-shot victory resulted in a winner’s check of $337,500.
