Bedminster, N.J., – The New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF), the (501c3) charitable arm of the New Jersey Section, PGA of America (NJPGA), today announced new additions to its Board of Trustees led by Tom Flatt, PGA Director of Golf at Edgewood Country Club, who assumes the role of Vice President.
Additionally, PGA Members Drew Jordan, Director of Golf at Hamilton Farm Golf Club and Chris Dymek, PGA Head Professional at Manasquan River Golf Club have been elected to the Board of Trustees. Joe Hession, founder and CEO of SNOW Operating, and a recognized leader in the field of resort operations was named to the Board of Trustees. An avid golfer and philanthropist, Hession is the owner/operator of Mountain Creek Resort in New Jersey as well as North America’s first indoor, real-snow, ski and snowboard facility, Big SNOW American Dream.
The NJGF was created in 2004 to positively impact lives and communities through the game of golf, with a focus on 3 core pillars: youth, military, and special needs. Under the guidance of PGA of America Golf Professionals, a line-up of programming is designed to provide individuals from all backgrounds with an opportunity to experience the game of golf in a welcoming environment.
In related news, and after relocating to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, former PGA TOUR player Jason Gore, who now serves as Executive Vice President & Chief Player Officer for the PGA TOUR transitions from the Board of Trustees to the NJGF Advisory Council, where he will be joined by Kevin Weyeneth, PGA Head Golf Professional at Hollywood Golf Club.
