StrackaLine Providing Its Industry-Leading Greens Guides For Prestigious Northeast Amateur

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – StrackaLine, one of golf’s leading technology companies, is providing players in this week’s Northeast Amateur with access to the game’s most popular Greens Guides.

The Northeast Am, which will be played June 18-22 at acclaimed Wannamoisett Country Club, is one of America’s premier amateur events, counting Dustin Johnson, Luke Donald and David Duval, among many other current and former PGA Tour players, among its past champions.

“The Northeast Amateur is a ‘Major’ in amateur golf circles and we are delighted to be providing StrackaLine Greens Guides for competitors,” company president Jim Stracka said. “Golf’s next generation of stars are accustomed to using StrackaLine Greens Guides during the collegiate season, and we are pleased they continue to want to use our best-in-the-game books in all competitive events.”

A Donald Ross design, Wannamoisett is the No. 2 course in Rhode Island and ranked among America’s 150 Greatest Courses by Golf Digest.

“This is the best layout I ever made,” Ross once said of the par 69 course. “A fine course on 100 acres of land. No congestion, fine variety and excellent golf.”

StrackaLine worked in conjunction with the USGA to ensure its greens guides were in compliance with the governing body’s new interpretation of Rule 4.3, allowing the company to continue to providing its best-in-the-game greens maps to professionals and amateurs.

The quality and accuracy of StrackaLine’s greens guides have led to widespread adoption on the PGA, LPGA, Symetra and Web.com tours, in addition to their use by more than 300 Division I college teams.

StrackaLine scans courses for $1,500 and that includes 100 greens guides for resale. The scanning process takes five hours to complete and is unobtrusive to the golfer experience.

StrackaLine now has 900+ courses scanned, including some of the nation’s most prominent layouts. Use of the greens guides at all levels of the game has surged, and the company now counts nearly every Division I golf program among its users.

The greens maps, which feature easy to read arrows, allow players to view contour and fall lines, in addition to slope percentage, anywhere on the green.
