FRISCO, TX – The Home of the PGA of America at Fields Ranch East in Frisco served as the vibrant backdrop for the Northern Texas PGA Women & Girls Golf Summit, presented by A. PUTNAM, during the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. The June 20th event brought together 60 women professionals and high school girl golfers for a morning dedicated to mentorship, career exploration, and the advancement of women in golf.
Hosted at the acclaimed Fields Ranch East and led by Trish Holt, PGA Head Professional and Frisco native, the summit highlighted the growing influence of women in the golf industry.
Holt’s leadership at this world-class facility, which will continue to host major championships through 2034, underscored the importance of creating opportunities for women at the heart of American golf. “It’s an incredible opportunity for the PGA of America, Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa, and the Frisco community to host the best women golfers in the world, as well as promote the game and the growth of women’s golf in our backyard,” Holt shared.
The summit featured a dynamic panel discussion with industry leaders: Trish Holt, Ali Putnam (founder of A. PUTNAM), Susan Bond (PGA Magazine), Tiffany Roth (Apple, former NTPGA junior tour player), and Miranda Robinson (GCSAA, Women in Turf). Panelists shared their personal journeys, the mentors who shaped them, and advice for young women considering careers in golf. “It was truly incredible to sit alongside a group of such accomplished women that have a true passion for supporting the growth of women’s involvement in golf. The energy and love for the sport is so contagious,” said Putnam.
Attendees also participated in an immersive behind-the-scenes tour of championship operations, including visits to the media center, the PGA Teaching & Coaching Center, and the “Dance Floor” putting green. These experiences offered high school girls a unique perspective on the diverse careers available within the golf industry.
The summit exemplified the shared vision between A. PUTNAM and the Northern Texas PGA: to foster a culture where women and girls feel seen, supported, and empowered to pursue their ambitions in golf and beyond. “Being one of five on the panel alongside such remarkable women, each sharing their unique journeys, reminded me just how powerful it is to uplift and inspire the next generation. The best years are yet to come, and I can’t wait to see all that these incredible young women will achieve,” said panelist Tiffany Roth.
Special thanks to Trish Holt, the panelists, Kelly Gilly, and the entire Northern Texas PGA team for their dedication to advancing women’s golf. The summit’s success signals a bright future for women and girls in the sport, with Frisco standing as a new epicenter for progress and opportunity.
