Partnership Evolution Integrates Player Development Index (PDI) into NB3 Membership, Along with 8 Coveted Championship Spots!
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship (NB3 JGNC) is proud to announce the next phase of its partnership with the Junior Golf Hub (JGH) and Player Development Index (PDI). Building on the immense success of the 2025 season, where hundreds of participants utilized the PDI to compete for one of 8 entries into the JGNC on The Golf Channel, the 2026 NB3 Tour will officially be “Powered by PDI”.
For the 2026 season, the NB3 membership has been significantly enhanced. Every member will now receive a premium subscription to both the Junior Golf Hub and PDI as part of their membership package. Additionally, PDI is offering a complimentary PDI Coach Certification to each member’s personal coach, allowing them to provide unlimited PDI assessments to the athlete and their entire client base.
Athletes and parents can explore these new benefits and the full 2026 schedule by visiting: https://www.jgnc.org/Public/Membership.
Expanding the Path to the National Championship
In 2026, the opportunity to earn 1 of 8 coveted spots in the National Championship via PDI performance will expand to 10 regional events. These regionals will host Coach-Guided Assessments specifically on practice round days. With only a minimum of 30 player spots available per event, participants are encouraged to register early as these sessions are expected to reach capacity quickly.
“The evolution to a ‘Powered by PDI’ tour represents our commitment to not just hosting elite competitions, but actively developing the athletes who play in them,” said Notah Begay III. “By integrating the PDI score—which measures physical, golf, mental skills and scoring average into a single metric—we are giving every junior golfer a clear, personalized roadmap to reach the next level. What Roger Knick and the JGH/PDI team have built is the gold standard for simplifying the complex journey of player development and college recruiting”.
Roger Knick, founder of Junior Golf Hub and PDI, added: “Our mission has always been to provide juniors and their families with the transparency they need to succeed. By including JGH and PDI access in every NB3 membership, we are ensuring that every participant knows exactly where their skills stand compared to their peers and college-level benchmarks. We are thrilled to deepen our integration with this premier junior tour.”
The Power of the PDI Score
The Player Development Index (PDI) is a comprehensive assessment that evaluates an athlete’s physical, technical, and mental proficiency for golf, combining them into a single score out of 100. This metric allows players to:
- Benchmark Performance: See how their skills compare to other juniors and successful college players.
- Identify Gaps: Pinpoint specific areas for improvement to maximize practice efficiency.
- Track Progress: Monitor development over the course of their entire golf improvement journey through the PDI app.
The 2026 NB3 Junior Golf National Championship, Powered by PDI, will once again be broadcast in prime time on Golf Channelthis December.
