Clayton, Calif. – Oakhurst Country Club recently debuted The Clubhouse Kitchen, a new modern and casual dining space for members and guests of the Clayton, California private club. The new restaurant is a complete renovation and rebrand of the Club’s former Bistro 19 restaurant. The renovation project took over six weeks to finish.
Branded as The Clubhouse Kitchen at Oakhurst, the new restaurant features a fresh open-air concept designed for a more welcoming, spacious feel; brand-new tabletops, communal pub tables, chairs, flooring, plus stylish décor updates; revamped menus featuring seasonal ingredients and bold new flavors; all-new craft cocktail and curated wine menus; and upgraded TVs and refreshed place settings for a modern dining experience. Located within Oakhurst’s beautiful clubhouse, The Clubhouse Kitchen has both indoor and outdoor dining options set against the backdrop of the beautiful golf course with views of Mount Diablo.
Led by Chef Ryne Dinglasan, The Clubhouse Kitchen menu includes everything from crave-worthy smash burgers, dagwoods, salads and flatbreads to ribeye steak frites, CK fried chicken and crispy spareribs, plus seasonal specials. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch, Thursday through Sunday for dinner and offers a delicious breakfast menu on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The Club hosts live entertainment on Friday evenings with local guitarists and pianists playing at The Clubhouse Kitchen.
“The elevated dining and service experience of The Clubhouse Kitchen has been very well received by members,” said Oakhurst Country Club General Manager Noreen Rognlien. “It’s an exciting new chapter for the Club. The restaurant’s natural textures, golf-inspired details, and cozy spaces make it a special place enjoy a meal with family and friends.”
Named the “Best New Course in Northern California” by California Golf Magazine when it opened in 1990, Oakhurst Country Club features an 18-hole links-style layout designed by architect Ron Fream. The course plays through 360 acres of lakes and natural wetlands in the foothills of Mount Diablo. Oakhurst’s golf practice facilities include a double-sided driving range and three large putting greens. In addition to golf, members enjoy four lighted tennis courts, a pool and fitness facility with a Junior Olympic-size pool, fitness rooms, state-of-the-art cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. The clubhouse includes an array of world-class amenities, including The Clubhouse Kitchen and a bar; men’s and women’s locker rooms; a full-service pro shop; and a variety of meeting rooms and banquet facilities accommodating events ranging from intimate business dinners to large-scale wedding receptions and fundraising galas.
