ExecuSearch Powered By the PGA of America Conducts Successful Dual Search; Old Westbury Golf and Country Club Identifies Metropolitan Section PGA Award Winners to Support Club’s Mission and Growth

FRISCO, Texas— Old Westbury Golf and Country Club, a 27-hole private facility in Old Westbury, New York, has announced new leadership to the golf staff with Chris Gabriele named Head Golf Professional and Carly Newman named Director of Instruction. In his role, Gabriele is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility’s golf operation, including golf services, tournament programming, merchandising and staff leadership, while Newman will manage golf instructional programming and the full line-up of player development programs.

Gabriele, a PGA Member for nearly seven years, most recently served as an Assistant PGA Professional at Quaker Ridge Golf Club from 2023-26 and Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff Manor, New York, from 2019-23. Recognized as the 2025 Met PGA Assistant of the Year, Gabriele served as President of the Metropolitan PGA Assistants’ Association. He is a graduate of the Clemson University PGA Golf Management program.

A PGA Member since 2020, Newman most recently served as an Assistant Golf Professional at Century Country Club in Purchase, New York, from 2024-26 and Nissequogue Golf Club in St. James, New York, from 2023-24. A member of the MET PGA Board of Directors, Newman served as the MET PGA Assistants Board President in 2023 & 2024, and was the recipient of the 2024 MET PGA Assistant of the Year Award. She received a Bachelors of Science from SUNY Cortland in 2016 where she was a 4-Year Member of NCAA Women’s Golf Team, and a Masters in Business Administration/Marketing in Sports Management from Lynn University in 2018.
