BUFFALO, N.Y. – OnCore Golf, creators of the industry’s only high-performance, perimeter-weighted golf balls, will be the Official Golf Ball of the 2022 PXG Women’s Match Play Championship at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla. Nov. 1 – 6.
OnCore Golf will provide all players in the PXG Women’s Match Play Championship (PXGWMPC) as well as guests at the INK! Charity Pro Am and juniors at the Spooktacular Junior Clinic with its highly-rated three-piece ELIXR Tour ball which won back-to-back Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medals.
“The PXG Women’s Match Play Champinship is a major event for rising professional players, and we’re thrilled to support and elevate them.” said OnCore Golf Co-Founder, Steve Coulton. He added, “This event creates a showcase for us with players on their way up the ladder, most of whom who have had a steady diet of more common brands, and we’re excited to put a ball in their hands that may be a game changer for them.”
The ELIXR is an 80-compression, three-piece ball with a 318-dimple pattern. The ball combines a polybutadiene rubber core with unique cross-linked polymer additives for exceptional ball speed along with a proprietary polymer mantle infused with high density particles for increased perimeter weighting that delivers enhanced accuracy and control, and a cast urethane cover to deliver a soft and pure feel off the club face for ultimate greenside handling and durability.
“Our goal with the PXGWMPC is to create opportunities for women working their way toward the LPGA Tour, and we’re looking to support them wherever we can,” said Mark Berman, Founder and Tournament Director of the PXGWMPC. “OnCore is taking a leadership role in the women’s game by offering our players its innovative golf balls not just as a way to make this particular tournament experience better, but because they believe OnCore technology will make a difference in their games. We’re happy to create this connective platform for OnCore and our players.”
