OnCore Golf Inks Partnership With the WSCGA to Help Promote and Serve the Interests of Women’s Golf in South Carolina
The new agreement will make OnCore the Official Golf Ball of the Association and provide for a number of Member benefits including support of the South Carolina Women’s Open.
Buffalo. NY – OnCore Golf Technology announced today that the company will enter into a long-term agreement with the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association (WSCGA) to help the association promote the best interests of the game of golf to its 14,000 members. OnCore will provide incentives to have its golf products played by members of the WSCGA and in turn, the Association will benefit from contributions OnCore will make to the women of the organization.
In making the announcement Keith Blakely, OnCore’s Chairman and CEO stated; “We have long felt that the growth of the game will largely depend on women participating in the sport and achieving success in the game at the highest levels of competitive play. South Carolina is a “hot bed” of women’s golf and our golf ball products have enjoyed success in being played competitively by women at all playing levels.”
Blakely added; “OnCore has, from inception, maintained a strong focus on customer needs, designing its products to deliver exceptional results to men and women golfers of a wide range of skill levels and ages. Partnerships like this provide OnCore with an opportunity to engage directly with women golfers and determine what they need in their golf ball products to more fully enjoy and succeed at the game of golf.”
Clarissa Childs, former LPGA player and the Executive Director of the WSCGA said; “On behalf of our Board of Governors, we are delighted to join with OnCore Golf to help us achieve our mission of promoting and serving the best interests of Women’s Golf in South Carolina. OnCore will definitely help us support the global initiative that opens the door for women and girls who want to learn about the game and engage with other female golfers throughout South Carolina.”
“The fact that OnCore Golf places a high value in the women golfers of South Carolina and is offering incentives to our membership will help us spark more participation in our sponsored events throughout the year” added Clarissa.
Childs continued; “We know that OnCore golf balls will be well-received by all players within the WSCGA as studies show that the average driver swing speed of a non-professional lady golfer is 62 mph and 96 mph for an average LPGA professional. OnCore’s team, including South Carolina based designers, have produced the OnCore AVANT 55 for the slower swing speeds and the OnCore ELIXR tour ball for higher swing speeds.”
The formal introduction of OnCore to the WSCGA will be made during the Women’s South Carolina Open Pro-Am reception this week at the Seabrook Island Club on Seabrook Island, SC.
