WINNER OF THIS YEAR’S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP USED NIPPON SHAFT
The winner of this year’s Open Championship played an N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120x-flex steel shaft in his 3-hybrid en route to winning the 148th edition of the world’s oldest major title.
The 32-year-old Irishman shot a 15-under par total 269 with rounds of 67-67-63-72 at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland for a six-shot victory over one of golf’s best and most international fields.
It was the 32nd MODUS³ series victory this season and the 186th overall, according to company officials.
Meanwhile, finishing solo third was the tall, lanky Utah native who used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120FX-flex steel shafts in his irons and Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges. He shot a 7-under 277 total.
