Cambridge, Mass. – Investing in leadership talent to help drive its continued growth, OpenRounds, Inc. has made key hires to fill a pair of newly created positions. Laura Marino Melendez will serve as Chief of Staff and Nate David joins the company as Director of Marketing.
These additions increase the company’s workforce to 12 full-time employees while introducing new skill sets and experience levels to complement the high-achieving and dedicated OpenRounds team.

Since coming to market in 2015, the company has provided member-only access for verified golfers from the clubs now enrolled in its network—which currently numbers 450—as these members seamlessly explore and book golf accommodations at affiliated private clubs. Product extensions in 2022 will extend that achievement, opening up unique destination-travel opportunities with concierge support and game-changing partnerships.
“To make sure our high level of service and opportunity could continue and extend itself, the company needed a significant infusion of talent and energy,” said Wyeth. “We were overwhelmed by the response to our personnel search and worked diligently to eventually identify Nate and Laura.”
Along with bolstering the brainpower and drive of OpenRounds’ current staff, enhancing corporate culture was part of the search mission. Captaincy of the Cornell University varsity baseball team was a notable qualification for David, alongside his MBA from the University of Virginia and his experience as a brand manager and entrepreneur. For Melendez, the experience of playing varsity tennis at the University of Rhode Island only adds to what she’s accomplished with organizations like Bridgewater Associates and the Capital Access division of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
