Raleigh, NC—North Carolina-based golf player development program, Operation 36, announces that they have completed the first phase of certification and implementation of their program with the Bermuda Golf Association and Bermuda PGA. This island nation is working with Operation 36 to execute an organized national golf program that is aligned with Long Term Athlete Development principles.
The Operation 36 team traveling to Bermuda included: Co-founder, Ryan Dailey, PGA and Player Development Consultant, Seth Thompson, PGA. This team worked alongside the local PGA coaches to provide a comprehensive golf player development program that will be used nation-wide. This initiative began two years ago when the Bermuda Golf Association reached out to Operation 36 to create a nation-wide program to widen the funnel to allow as many youth as possible to participate in golf.
The most recent visit in September included a coach certification, where the golf professionals learned how to teach Juniors to play golf using the Operation 36 method, curriculum and technology. Next, the team held a parent orientation for fifty Bermudan families to share the details and expectations for the Junior program. Shortly after the orientation, forty five families registered for the weekly group classes offered by certified (Bermudan) Operation 36 coaches. The Bermuda-based coaches were pleased to report that they had great success at their first 9-hole event with their new Junior golfers.
Operation 36 Co-founder, Ryan Dailey, PGA, said, “Simply the highest professional honor to date. To be asked to create a National Golf Development program for an entire nation from the ground up is a humbling experience, to say the least.”

About Operation 36
Operation 36 is a Division of Golf Genius and is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to 50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform. The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers and retaining them for the long term.
