“How to Keep Beginners in the Game”
Raleigh, NC—North Carolina-based golf player development program, Operation 36, announces that they are co-hosting a webinar for LPGA Golf Professionals on Monday, June 27th.
This workshop “How to Keep Beginners in the Game” will feature Operation 36 coach Amanda Beeler, LPGA, who is the Director of Instruction & Golf Academy at Healdsburg Golf Club and Operation 36 Co-Founder, Matt Reagan, PGA . The webinar training will share the best strategies to engage beginner golfers quickly, and to retain them for years to come.
Golf has a reputation for losing most of its beginner golfers because of the tremendous learning curve. Reagan will be sharing the specific strategies to “hook” a beginner and to keep them engaged to become a life-long golfer. Beeler will be sharing her stories of how she connects with her beginner golfers and how she helps the beginner fall in love with the sport.
Beeler said, “My goal with each student, regardless of age and skill level is to make golf approachable. Finding a love for the game translates to a lifetime of outdoor golf-fun with friends and family. My favorite moments are seeing kids I’ve worked with take their parents and grandparents on the course. There is a tremendous amount of freedom feeling confident in an activity that you can enjoy for a lifetime.”
The workshop will be hosted online, on Monday, June 27th at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Space is limited, and those who are interested may grab their seat through this free registration here.
About Operation 36
Operation 36 is a Division of Golf Genius and is the most effective developmental program to teach beginners how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to 50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform. The Operation 36 mission is to create 1 million new golfers over the next five years, and they want to help coaches with introducing new golfers and retaining them for the long term.
