Opus Organization, a national network dedicated to connecting and advancing Black business owners and the National Association of Black Golf Merchandisers announced a strategic collaboration to launch a first-of-its-kind initiative focused on accelerating the growth and visibility of Black entrepreneurs within the $102 Billion golf industry. This collaboration was facilitated by Jim Beatty Golf Ventures LLC.
This collaboration will introduce The Black Golf Business Collective, a dynamic platform designed to provide Black golf merchandisers and entrepreneurs with access to real-world business insights, peer networks, and strategic resources. The Collective will feature a curated series of live, virtual conversations with industry “operators”—successful business owners and influencers who will share their journeys, including successes, failures, and proven methodologies.
“Black entrepreneurs in the golf industry have long demonstrated innovation and resilience, yet access to scalable resources and networks remains limited,” said Ron Everett, Executive Director of Opus Organization. “Through this collaboration, we are creating a platform that captures lived experience and transforms it into actionable business intelligence for the next generation of owners.”
The program will include:
- Live Zoom-based interview sessions with established golf industry entrepreneurs
- Interactive Q&A and peer networking opportunities
- Actionable business education modules derived from real-world experiences
- A growing digital library of insights, playbooks, and case studies
By combining storytelling with strategic learning, the Collective aims to strengthen the ecosystem of Black-owned golf businesses and create pathways for long-term economic growth and sustainability in the $102 Billion golf industry.
“This collaboration represents a significant step forward in supporting our members and the broader community of Black golf merchandisers,” said Arnett Gill, President of the National Association of Black Golf Merchandisers. “Together with Opus, we are building a platform that not only informs but empowers.”
The Black Golf Business Collective will launch an initial series, followed by a national rollout and expansion into, business accelerators, in-person events and sponsorship-driven programming.
Organizations interested in supporting the initiative as sponsors or strategic partners are encouraged to connect with Opus Organization or the National Association of Black Golf Merchandisers for additional information.
