All Eight Teams Competing for 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown To Use Exclusive Country-Themed Bags

BOCA RATON, Fla. – ORCA Golf—the fast-growing, women-owned golf bag company—is outfitting all eight national teams of top female professional golfers in the 2023 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown, to be played May 4-7 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, Calif.

The fourth edition of International Crown, a unique team match-play competition that features the best female golfers from the top eight countries across the globe, returns to the LPGA Tour schedule after a five-year absence. Each of the four players on the eight teams will have a beautiful, custom, leather golf bag showcasing their country’s national flower:

  • United States: Rose
  • Korea: Mungunghwa
  • Japan: Cherry Blossom
  • Sweden: Harebell
  • England: Tudor Rose
  • Thailand: Ratchaphruek
  • Australia: Golden Wattle
  • China: Plum Blossom

Each bag also features the player’s name, country, national colors and flag, as well as the name and logo of the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown. Matching head covers feature the country name and flag.

When ORCA Golf was commissioned to create the bags and head covers for the participating teams, co-founders Erica Bennett and CEO Deborah Bennett developed ideas to make the most stylish designs possible.

“First and foremost, we’re honored to be involved with this prestigious event,” said Erica. “Once Deb and I learned of this opportunity, we worked diligently to come up with features that would best symbolize the participating countries and all these talented women golfers.”

Since Erica grew up in the Caribbean surrounded by flowers, she gravitated toward using this design element as a signature feature for the team bags.

The USA team will be represented by Nelly Korda, Lexi Thompson, Lilia Vu and Danielle Kang, who are all in the top 15 of the current Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Among the other international stars playing in the event are:

  • Jin Young Ko, Hyo-Joo Kim, and In Gee Chun (Korea)
  • Nasa Hataoka (Japan)
  • Georgia Hall and Charley Hull (England)
  • Atthaya Thitkul (Thailand)
  • Minjee Lee (Australia)
  • Xiyu Lin (China)
  • Caroline Hedwall, Anna Nordqvist, Madelene Sagstrom, Maja Stark (Sweden)

ORCA Golf represents more than bespoke bags for everyday golfers. The founders are committed to paving the way for future generations and making the golf community more inclusive, empowered and sustainable. This is evident by their philanthropic endeavors and personal participation on behalf of many deserving causes.
