The commercial, filmed at the picturesque Cabot Citrus Farms, brings together a stellar lineup of golf talent and creative visionaries to showcase the brand’s signature blend of style, performance, and personality.
The spot features Original Penguin ambassadors and PGA TOUR winners Jake Knapp and Nico Echavarria, both of whom embody the brand’s commitment to being an original on and off the course. Also joining the shoot were Original Penguin creators and ambassadors Officially Sonny and Carolin Pinegger as well as model Hailee Lautenbach further emphasizing the brand’s deep connection to the golf community and contemporary fashion.
Bringing the vision to life is Dakota Media, the production company co-founded by renowned actor and passionate golfer Josh Duhamel and golf industry veteran and entrepreneur Joshua Algra. Known for its cinematic storytelling and striking visuals, Dakota Media captures the essence of Original Penguin Golf’s originality while celebrating the modern golfer’s lifestyle.
“Not only do I love Original Penguin as a lifelong golfer, but I loved the brand’s vision for breaking a little glass and allowing us to get outside of the box a little,” said Duhamel. “I enjoyed working with Johnathan Schoenberg of TDA Boulder as creative director for this project, designing a script that felt fresh.”
Original Penguin’s latest commercial embodies the spirit of the brand and embraces the good times had on the course, visually represented by golfers playfully shattering plates. The spot emphasizes the joy of the game and the breaking of old conceptions, all while showcasing the timeless iconic style found in Original Penguin apparel, offering a vibrant invitation to embrace a more relaxed and fun approach to golf.
