Leading Golf Course Management Company Wins Bid to Operate Two Oxnard Courses
LOS ANGELES – Leading golf course management company, American Golf Corporation (AGC) has been selected to manage the City of Oxnard’s River Ridge Golf Club.
American Golf has taken over operations of both River Ridge’s Vineyard and Victoria Lake Golf Courses. In addition to maintaining the 36-hole public course, American Golf will manage River Ridge’s banquet facilities and its driving range, the largest in Ventura County. It will also be responsible for the maintenance of the Oxnard golf course’s adjacent practice fields that are currently used by the Dallas Cowboys each year for training camp.

Solidifying American Golf’s position as the leading operator of golf courses and golf clubs in California, with the addition of the Oxnard courses, the company now operates over 50 properties in the state and facilitates more than 3.2 million rounds of golf each year in the state. The Oxnard City Council reported that the selection committee “was particularly persuaded by American Golf’s corporate resources and strong marketing plan” for River Ridge and that the innovative Player’s Club membership will be an incredibly effective program for increasing utilization at the golf courses as well as creating a stable and consistent income source.
