Brand ambassador joins the ranks of the game’s most impressive and storied names
TULSA, OK – SuperSpeed Golf would like to extend congratulations to brand ambassador and PGA TOUR great Padraig Harrington who will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame’s 2024 class.
Harrington was one of 17 individuals inducted into the 2024 class, which also includes Sandra Palmer, Johnny Farrell, Beverly Hanson, Tom Weiskopf and the 13 Founders of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). The class will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Monday, June 10, at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club, a date that coincides with the 124th U.S. Open Championship.
Harrington has incorporated SuperSpeed’s swing speed training programs into his training routine, enabling him to add speed and distance to his game at 52 years old. This season, he leads the PGA TOUR Champions on driving distance, averaging 298.3 yards per drive, which is higher than the PGA TOUR average. Harrington led the PGA TOUR Champions during the 2022 and 2023 seasons in driving distance.
The SuperSpeed ambassador recorded the longest drive of any individual in their season before induction, launching a 387-yard blast in the fourth round of the Genesis Invitational. His 118.5 average club head speed in 2023 outpaced all inductees in the year before induction since TrackMan technology was introduced, including Tiger Woods (116.1, class of 2022 on PGA TOUR) and Retief Goosen (110.2, class of 2019 on PGA TOUR).
“Padraig always has been of the game’s most elite players, as evidenced by his recent election to the World Golf Hall of Fame, and our technology and approach to training has played a role in continuing to take his game to new heights,” said Michael Napoleon, President of SuperSpeed Golf. “He exemplifies both speed and power, and SuperSpeed recognizes his contributions to the game and congratulates his incredible honor.
Harrington has won 13 PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions events in addition to his 20 international wins. The Ireland native won back-to-back Open Championships in 2007 and 2008, as well as the PGA Championship in 2008, and he was selected to six consecutive Ryder Cup teams from 1999 and 2010.
In total, Harrinton has tallied 37 professional victories, and reached a highest Official World Golf Ranking of No. 3. In recent years, he has made speed training and overall strength a priority for his continued improvement. At 52, he has reached the fastest swing speed of his professional career, emerging as one of the longest hitters on PGA TOUR Champions with ball speeds regularly reaching more than 180 mph.
