Randall Hunt Honed His Fitness Method While Competing on GOLF Channel’s Big Break: USA vs. Europe and Now Helps Golfers Eliminate the Nagging Pains Holding Back Their Best Golf
ORLANDO, Fla. – Visionary coach and former Big Break reality series contestant Randall Hunt will share his revolutionary fitness method while on a mission to help golfers play without nagging pains that have held them back for years on the new video series, Pain Free Golf, premiering Thursday, June 20, exclusively on NBC Sports Next’s GolfPass streaming platform, app and connected devices.
Golf may not look especially strenuous to some, but the millions who play the game know better – it can take a toll on the body. Across four episodes, Pain Free Golf will chronicle several of Hunt’s students along their journey in golf as they strive to play and feel better than ever. Hunt developed his own golf-specific fitness method, called Golfnetics, to increase flexibility and range of motion through the activation of select muscles needed for optimal golf performance, rather than through traditional stretching. Students follow a 90-day protocol of unique exercises, high-tech analysis and swing instruction. Some of the conditions Hunt will tackle during the series include lack of mobility, neck pain, lower-back pain, shoulder pain, and several common swing faults that cause pain.
“I am ecstatic to be part of a first-of-its kind docuseries on Golf Pass and to share my Golfnetics methods used to enhance the golf games of some of the PGA Tour’s highest-ranked players, as well as thousands of golfers of all skill levels and body types,” said Hunt. “Golfers watching the series will be able to directly relate to the swing faults and pain of the golfers on the show and will get easy-to-follow exercises and golf tips that can immediately be used to play better, more consistent, more powerful pain-free golf.”
Viewers may recognize Hunt as one of the contestants who competed on the fourth season of GOLF Channel’s groundbreaking reality series, Big Break. He was already in the process of honing his fitness methodology when he appeared as one of the more popular contestants on the U.S. team, which also included current PGA Tour pro Tommy Gainey, on Big Break: USA vs. Europe in 2005.
Hunt began conducting his own research about the human body after three failed surgeries to correct an arm injury he incurred from an auto accident. He invented Bionetics, a unique methodology that enhances the brain’s connection to muscle to improve function, which completely healed him from chronic pain. Subsequently, he combined his experience as a PGA Class A teaching professional with Bionetics to create the Golfnetics methodology that improves movements of the body specific to the sport of golf. Hunt has invented several health and fitness modalities over the last two decades, which have been used to help thousands of people of all ages, sizes and walks of life. He also has designed equipment for major fitness companies and built a multi-million-dollar international, award-winning health club concept that, ultimately, evolved into Apex Fit, a fitness studio in Lake Nona, Fla., as well as a 110-square-foot Performance Center currently under construction in Ocoee, Fla.
