Golf Facilities Nationwide Are Invited to Participate in Patriot Golf Days to Support Military and First Responder Families

March 24, 2026

Folds of Honor and PGA of America REACH Foundation to Conduct Fundraising in May

FRISCO, Texas– Patriot Golf Days returns May 2026, inviting golf establishments and golfers nationwide to support families of Military Veterans and First Responders in honor of Memorial Day. Presented by Folds of Honor and the PGA of America REACH Foundation, the 501(c)(3) foundation of the PGA of America, the annual fundraising efforts provide life-changing academic scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled Veterans and First Responders.

Founded in 2007 by former F-16 fighter pilot and PGA of America Golf Professional Lt Col Dan Rooney, Patriot Golf Days has raised more than $125 million and funded more than 25,000 scholarships.

From May 1 through Memorial Day weekend, golf facilities and PGA of America Golf Professionals will host Folds of Honor golf tournaments, Hero100 Golf Marathons and allow golfers to round up their purchases and green fees at select facilities to help Veterans and First Responders’ spouses and children. Individuals can also make a donation online at www.patriotgolfdays.com.

“For two decades, the PGA of America has been privileged to join forces with Folds of Honor for Patriot Golf Days to magnify our support for the families of those who have selflessly served our country and communities,” said PGA of America Vice President Nathan Charnes, PGA. “It is truly an honor to collaborate with Lt Col Dan Rooney in this great cause. Our Foundations share an intense passion to serve our nation’s Veterans and together we can make a greater impact through this great game we all love, both on and off the course.”

“As a PGA of America Golf Professional, I’m grateful to my fellow Members for their commitment and unwavering support of Patriot Golf Days,” said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “Folds of Honor is blessed to be working with the leading golf organizations to make a life-changing difference for our recipients. I’m thankful too for the individuals who play golf during the month of May or make an online donation. These funds provide educational scholarships to the families who deserve and need our help and who have sacrificed so much.”

“Golf leads all sports in charitable impact, and the PGA of America has long recognized its power to unite people and drive meaningful change,” said PGA of America CEO Terry Clark. “Folds of Honor has set a remarkable standard for giving back to the families that need it most. Patriot Golf Days harnesses golf’s spirit of generosity to honor and support Military and First Responder families while showing how the game and PGA of America Golf Professionals are a force for good in communities nationwide.”
