PAYNTR Golf Celebrates Five Years of Performance Innovation and Record Growth

Industry-leading footwear brand marks milestone with continued expansion, elite tour presence and commitment to performance-driven design

PORTLAND, Ore. — PAYNTR Golf, the fastest-growing performance golf footwear brand in the game, celebrates its five-year anniversary, marking a remarkable rise since its founding. Built on the belief that golf footwear should function as essential performance equipment, PAYNTR Golf has quickly established itself as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing brands in the sport, delivering solution-based footwear designed to help golfers harness ground forces and maximize speed, stability and comfort throughout the swing.

In just five years, PAYNTR Golf has evolved from an emerging challenger brand into a global performance leader, experiencing significant year-over-year growth while earning recognition from golfers, retailers and industry experts alike. Earlier this year, 8AM Golf made a strategic investment in PAYNTR Golf, further validating the brand’s rapid ascent within the premium golf footwear category, driven by its growing presence across green-grass, direct-to-consumer, and leading big-box retail channels including PGA TOUR Superstore, DICK’S Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy.

The brand’s rapid ascent has also been reinforced by its growing presence on professional tours. PAYNTR Golf ambassadors include Jason Day, Min Woo Lee, Sam Burns and Isaiah Salinda, showcasing the footwear at the highest levels of competition. Though not ambassadors, major champions such as Justin Rose and Phil Mickelson have also worn PAYNTR Golf footwear during tournament play, and on the PGA TOUR Champions, Masters winner, Mike Weir, as well as Ken Duke are playing in various models.

“We set out with a clear conviction that golf footwear could be engineered very differently than the industry had traditionally approached it,” said Mike Forsey, Co-Founder and President of PAYNTR Golf. “From the beginning, we believed footwear should be treated as true performance equipment, where comfort, traction, waterproofing and propulsion technology all work together to support the golf swing. By focusing on how golfers interact with the ground, we’ve engineered every model to help players generate power, maintain stability and stay comfortable in all conditions. Seeing the brand’s growth and the way golfers around the world have embraced that philosophy has been incredibly rewarding. What excites us most, however, is that we’re still just getting started.”

PAYNTR Golf’s global expansion has been driven by the strength of its international distribution network. Strategic partners across North America, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe, Australia and New Zealand, have played a critical role in bringing the brand to golfers around the world. By aligning with partners who share PAYNTR Golf’s commitment to performance innovation and premium product positioning, the company has expanded its reach while maintaining consistent brand standards and retail excellence across key golf markets.

At the core of the brand’s success is a performance philosophy rooted in the biomechanics of the golf swing. PAYNTR Golf footwear integrates proprietary propulsion plate technology and advanced traction systems designed to help golfers leverage horizontal, vertical and rotational ground reaction forces, enabling improved balance, stability and speed through impact.

“Our focus has always been to create footwear that helps golfers perform better,” said Michael Glancy, Co-Founder and Product Creative Director of PAYNTR Golf. “Every design decision we make begins with the swing, understanding how golfers interact with the ground, how traction supports movement, and how comfort allows players to stay balanced and powerful throughout the round. Over the last five years, we’ve proven that performance innovation truly resonates with golfers.”

Since PAYNTR Golf first started shipping products in March 2021 with the X 001 LE, the brand has continued to expand its product offerings across three core performance platforms — Speed Performance, Speed Classic and Speed Reserve — introducing numerous award-winning models including the Eighty Seven SC, Reserve Classic Tour RS, and X 002 LE, while also developing premium collaborations with celebrated brands such as Forrester’s and Vessel.

In addition, PAYNTR Golf has introduced a line of golf training shoes engineered to complement on-course movement while supporting performance in the gym and during running. These versatile training shoes feature responsive cushioning for high-impact workouts and are equipped with PAYNTR Golf’s groundbreaking propulsion technology.

“Their golf footwear expertise, innovation and attention to detail is unmatched,” said Jason Day, former World No. 1 Golfer and PAYNTR Golf equity partner. “For me, having the unique opportunity to work closely as an owner on a collaborative collection in my style from concept to reveal was key to the full partnership coming together.”

Behind the scenes, PAYNTR Golf’s commitment to innovation has been strengthened by the team’s deep experience working closely with its manufacturing partners and factories throughout the product development process. By maintaining highly collaborative relationships with these partners, the brand is able to source premium materials, refine construction techniques and implement critical design adjustments quickly and efficiently. This hands-on approach allows PAYNTR Golf’s design and development teams to move rapidly from concept to production, ensuring every model delivers the precise balance of comfort, traction, waterproofing and propulsion technology that defines the brand.

“Seeing more and more players on the PGA TOUR choosing to wear our products is incredibly meaningful and something I take a great deal of pride in,” added Day.

Looking ahead, PAYNTR Golf plans to continue expanding its performance platforms, introducing new technologies and growing its global presence while maintaining its commitment to innovation-driven design.

“From the beginning, PAYNTR Golf has been focused on delivering multiple performance advantages,” said Forsey. “Our mission remains simple: create footwear that enables golfers to walk the course in comfort, leverage the ground to their advantage, and perform at their highest level.”
